About Karen

In her forties at the pinnacle of her corporate career, Karen became deathly ill.  Over the next 18 years, she healed her body and transformed her life overcoming chronic lyme disease and most recently cancer.  In the process, she deepened her intuition and learned to connect to and follow Divine Guidance.  She now lives an amazingly healthy and abundantly joyful life.

Here is a Brief Summary of Her Story….

From the age of seven, Karen wanted to be a heart surgeon.  Little did she know back then that she would eventually become an energetic and spiritual one rather than an MD.

She has always been a pioneer, a leader in her own life and the organizations she has been involved in.  One of the first seven women to be accepted to Bowdoin College, she graduated summa cum laude in Biology (an honor that had not been awarded for the previous 10 years) and won the Elliott Scholarship for Oceanography.  She was also instrumental in developing the first Women’s Athletic Program for the College.  She studied Premed and Environmental Studies, pursuing two of her loves- helping people lead healthy lives and preserving beauty in the environment.  From there she went on to receive an MA in Biology from UCLA and started her career as an Environmental Biologist.

Her first major job as an Environmental Biologist was for The Raytheon Company.  During this time, she realized how much she preferred working with people and so she developed marketing and business strategies during the day while doing her biology job at night. Within a short time, her strategies and efforts resulted in winning the largest environmental contract Raytheon had to date.  The Company realized her skills in business development and asked her to be one of the first two women in the industry to market electronic systems to the Pentagon.   Having the nature of a pioneer, she took the position and over the next 3 years was instrumental in recapturing major market share the Company had lost.  These experiences at the age of 27 transitioned her from biology to business.

Over the next several decades, she won the top awards for her work helping companies such as Apple Computer, Compaq Computer, KPMG Consulting and small start-ups achieve Landmark Results by entering new markets and attaining new revenue heights.  Karen continued to expand her experience into new markets.  She was never the person who had the rolodex of business connections but rather owes her success to listening to her intuition and following the guidance she received no matter how atypical the strategy may have seemed at the time.

Karen was at the height of her corporate career when she became ill with lyme disease.  Actually, her intuition had been telling her for several years it was time to find work that “fed her Soul”.  But she did not listen to these “Whispers” that kept repeating themselves.  Fortunately, she was also on a serious spiritual path while working in Corporate America.  Her near death experience with lyme disease forced her to search more deeply in order to heal.  She learned to go beyond listening to her intuition…to a deeper place of receiving Divine Guidance deep in her heart and Soul.

Once she fully listened and acted on this Guidance, and let go of practices, beliefs and parts of her lifestyle that didn’t serve her anymore, she healed from the lyme.  Karen went on to form her own marketing and sales consulting company and thrived personally and professionally for the next 3 years.  Although she followed her Guidance most of the time, she wasn’t practicing it 100% and “out of the blue” came down with cancer.  Three years later she is now completely cured of this disease and is healthy, happy and doing the most meaningful work of her life.

During the process, she has been blessed studying with amazing teachers and became certified in several mind, body and spirit modalities.  Karen is a graduate of Denise Linn’s Soul Coaching® Program, The Hippocrates Health Institute, The New England School of Feng Shui and Young Living’s Essential Oils Program.  She has also studied with the Dali Lama and other Master Healers in the areas of feng shui, spiritual healing and medical qigong.
